Anritsu and EMITE collaborate for TRP/TIS OTA testing

Over the air (OTA) test system developer, Emite, and communications test and measurement specialist, Anritsu, have announced the latest combined solution for testing the latest IEEE 802.11 WLAN standard. The Anritsu Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A has been integrated to the Emite E600 Reverberation Chamber to test OTA total radiated power / total isotropic sensitivity (TRP/TIS) performance of IEEE 802.11ax devices in a repeatable environment.

The MT8862A + EMITE reverberation chamber has built-in communications protocols and optimised performance for WLAN testing, reports Anritsu and can characterise with high reliability the performance of the latest devices in the market.

The integration has been able to successfully measure TRP and TIS OTA performance for IEEE 802.11ax devices, reports Anritsu.

The Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A and our E600 Reverberation Chamber WLAN OTA test platform is believed to be an industry first. “The unique capabilities of the Anritsu-EMITE WLAN OTA test platform cannot be met by competitors, and some of our major customers have already shown extreme interest”, said David Sánchez, CEO of Emite.

“The IEE802.11ax will be a standard WLAN technology in the future from the latest technologies and features viewpoint, and we are proud to release the OTA test solution,” added Hideo Zuinen, product manager, IoT Test Solutions, Anritsu.

Emite designs, develops, manufactures and commercialises OTA test systems for performance, compliance and pre‐compliance testing of any cellular and wireless standards and pre‐standards worldwide, including 5G, LTE‐A and WiFi (up to 6E). It is headquartered at the Fuente Álamo High Tech Park in Murcia, Spain. It has distributors in 25 countries, test show rooms in America, Asia and Europe. Its OTA test systems are used worldwide by carriers, OEMs, test labs, regulatory authorities and others around the wireless ecosystem.
