Aspen Electronics signs RN2 Technologies for multi-layer components
Distributor Aspen Electronics has announced a new partnership with RN2 Technologies, which specialises in multi-layered circuit design and manufacturing processes using LTCC, HTCC, AlN, and ferrite material. The product range includes couplers, combiners, terminations, attenuators and power dividers.
The offering includes the range of 90 degree, 3dB hybrid couplers, featuring four ports to divide or combine RF power. These couplers are made of LTCC material with patented circuit design, developed by the company. They provide low insertion loss and high isolation performance and also support high power applications, up to 300W with a small size package. The surface mount parts (pictured) feature LTCC base, low-loss silver conductors and gold plating finish. Both are RoHS-compliant.
There is also the CMX19Q03, a 90 degree hybrid coupler with frequency from 1,700 to 2,000MHz and average power of 200W. Insertion loss is 0.1 dB, isolation is 25dB, with amplitude balance ± 0.20dB.
SMD terminations use either alumina or AlN material. These small, reliable terminations are capable of handling RF powers up to 150W. The S2525N100, for example, is a termination for applications up to 3GHz. With a power rating of 100W, a return loss of 23dB and operating temperature of -55 to +125 degree C, they are designed for TETRA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, plus other VHF and UHF applications.
