Automotive-qualified diodes protect from voltage transients
Suitable for automotive and portable devices, a series of AEC-Q101-qualified transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes from Littelfuse are designed specifically to protect sensitive automotive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by load dump and other transient voltage events.
The TPSMF4L series offers 400W of peak pulse power dissipation in a compact, surface mount, flat-lead SOD-123FL plastic package with a height profile of just 0.98mm.
The can be used for DC power protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics, for example in electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, entertainment systems, and body control modules (BCMs), and for portable devices that require high reliability, such as hard drives, notebooks, VCC buses, POS terminals, SSDs, power supplies and monitors.
According to the company, the diodes combine the AEC-Q101 qualification, with a small footprint, a low height profile, and high power rating, for protection in a small space.
The diodes offer 400W at 10/1000micro sec peak pulse power dissipation capability in an SOD-123FL footprint. The small, flat-lead plastic package is compatible with the automotive standard (AEC-Q101) and compact for automotive electronics and portable devices.
Standard voltage ranges from 5.0 to 85V and the diodes comply with 61000-4-2 and IEC 61000-4-4 standards to meet global regulatory standards.
