COM Express system provides CUDA computing capability
Using the Nvidia Tegra K1 SoC, the CMG601 from Connect Tech is compliant with the COM Express Type 6 pinout and provides advanced CUDA-computing capability, says the company, with advanced graphics, powered by Nvidia Kepler architecture CUDA GPU.
It is suitable for small form factor and embedded systems. Dimensions are 95 x 95mm.
The SoC contains 192 supercomputer-class GPU cores with the Nvidia 4-Plus-1 2.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU. The board delivers 325GFLOPS computing power with 15W operation.
There is a 2Gbyte DDR3L memory with 64bit width and support for two independent displays. There is also support for CUDA 6.5, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.0, OpenGL 4.4 and Open CL 1.1.
It is designed to be deployed with a COM Express Type 6 carrier board. The TK1 operates at a commercial temperature of 0 to 55 degree C or -20 to +70 degree C, depending on the model. According to the company, the design yields high reliability and capability for applications requiring faster performance but are SWaP-constrained in harsh environments.
