Compact, non-leaded MOSFET relay has 200V 0.35A rating

Designed in a small surface mount format, the G3VM-201WR is the latest MOSFET relay from Omron Electronic Components Europe. It combines a high current rating 200V, 0.35A and high ambient operating temperature range, says Omron, making it suitable for test and measurement equipment.

The G3VM-201WR has been added to Omron’s MOSFET relay series. It has a P-SON four-pin terminal pad design that ensures high heat dissipation and a revised terminal shape is claimed to result in better solder joints.

The MOSFET relay measures 3.4 x 2.1mm and has an ambient operating temperature range of -40 to +110 degrees C. The compact device can realise a current load of 75 per cent higher (0.35A, 49mA/mm2) than a comparable SOP4 type relay (0.2A, 7.3mA/mm2), has the company. It also features fast turn on and turn off times of one millisecond.

The Omron MOSFET relay series also includes VSON and SVSON components (capable of handling load voltages up to 100V), for applications where space is critical.

OMRON Electronic Components Europe manufactures electromechanical PCB relays and supplies components such as micro switches, MOSFET relays, DIP switches, photo-microsensors and connectors. Omron’s technology portfolio includes MEMS based pressure, flow and thermal measurement sensors, human face and gesture recognition modules, vibration and tilt sensors.

OMRON Electronic Components Europe is a subsidiary of the Omron Corporation, which produces electrical and electronic control equipment and component products.

Omron operates in the field of automation, ranging from industrial automation and electronic components to social infrastructure systems, healthcare, and environmental solutions. Established in 1933, Omron provides products and services in around 120 countries and regions.
