CPRI RF measurement option reduces 4G test times
CPRI RF measurement capability has been added to Anritsu’s E series of Site Master, Spectrum Master, and Cell Master handheld field analysers. It is claimed to dramatically simplify and lower the cost of testing remote radio heads (RRHs) installed on 4G towers. The option is also claimed to reduce network op-ex by allowing wireless carrier engineers, technicians and contractors to identify interference sources on the radio uplink at ground level.
With the CPRI RF Measurement option, the E series analysers provide best-in-class sweep speed is 10x faster than competitive analysers, says the company, to capture all interfering signals, including intermittent interferers, easily. A spectrum/spectrogram tune and zoom function allows users to zoom into an area of interest on a displayed signal.
An auto-detect function is also designed into the RF measurement option that automatically configures the CPRI link to minimise set-up time and potential errors. This feature, supported by pre-configured radio set-ups, simplifies the task of ensuring that the test instrument matches the CPRI link, says the company.
