Crystal oscillators from Q-Tech suit LEO satellites
Crystal oscillators for low earth orbit (LEO) constellation satellite applications are available from Q-Tech.
The space-qualified QR780 crystal oscillators are designed for use as primary clocks in LEO, small communications and broadcasting satellites. The QT780 series is offered with a range of operating frequencies (230kHz to 162.5MHz for a variety of LEO programs and ECCN:EAR99 listing to facilitate procurement to qualified international customers.
Reliable performance is supported by 50kRad(Si) total dose ionisation radiation hardening and 20,000 g shock resistance. Optional screening per MIL-PRF-55310, Lvl B with PIND to meet DLA specs including particle impact noise detection is also available.
The low profile, small footprint (5.0 x 7. 0mm) are high-shock hybrid oscillators with an IC operating at 1.8, 2.5, 3.3 or 5.0V and a miniature strip quartz crystal. The QR780 series is offered in selected ceramic package configurations from surface-mount technology (SMT) to straight leads and formed leads.
