Current-compensated chokes are compact

Current-compensated EMC correcting chokes in the RN series from Schaffner, are available with horizontal and vertical mounting options. They are rated up to 300V AC.

The dual common-mode chokes are available over the inductance range 0.4 to 100mH with rated currents from 0.3 to 10A and operate over the frequency range DC to 50/60Hz and offer 100kHz to 3MHz common-mode resonance frequencies. Multiple PCB-mounting options may be specified. The higher temperature rating offers easier design with an ambient temperature rated at 60 degree C.

According to the company, the chokes can be designed into circuit boards used in switch mode power supplies and converters, inverters, battery management systems, chargers, dimmers or phase angle control devices.

The chokes comply with the requirements of RoHS and REACH and are certified with international safety agency approvals including UL and ENEC.
