Development board from MikroElektronika is equipped with PIC by Microchip
Amongst the hardware embedded on the Fusion for PIC v8 by MikroElektronika (Mikroe) are SiBrain microcontroller sockets, display options, wi-fi debugging and Click peripheral sockets.
The development board offers universal support for PIC, dsPIC, PIC24, PIC32 microcontrollers for rapid prototyping. It has been redesigned by Mikroe with SiBrain sockets. SiBrain is the new universal standard for microcontroller cards, created by Mikroe. Five mikroBUS Click peripheral board sockets are also positioned on the Fusion for PIC v8 development board, enabling users to try out more than 1,000 peripherals. Display board standard sockets provide a choice of four different sizes of TFT capacitive and resistive touch displays.
The Fusion board also integrates CodeGrip, believed to be the world’s first tool that facilitates debugging over wi-fi. The on-board CodeGrip USB-C debugger and programmer currently supports more than 1,640 microcontrollers, and enables development in hazardous environments, or remote and inaccessible sites.
“Fusion for PIC v8 supports Microchip’s entire PIC MCU product range,” said Nebojsa Matic, CEO of Mikroe. “Set-up and tuning are simple and intuitive, and boards are engineered to deliver an immersive project development experience that empowers designers to deliver outstanding results in the minimum time.”
The compact and durable Fusion for PIC v8 development board also includes a power supply module designed to regulate, filter, and distribute power noise-free. A wide range of power sources are supported. The board has free, lifetime updates with new microcontrollers.
MikroElektronika (Mikroe) is committed to changing the embedded electronics industry through the use of industry standard hardware and software solutions. In 2011, the company invented the mikroBUS development socket standard and the compact Click boards that use the standard to dramatically cut development time. Now the company offers 1,000 Click boards and the mikroBUS standard is included by leading microcontroller companies such as Microchip, Renesas and Toshiba on their development boards. SiBrain is Mikroe’s latest standard, for microcontroller development add-on boards and sockets. MikroElektronika also claims to make the world’s widest range of compilers, and provides development environments, development boards, smart displays and program debuggers.
