DIN-rail IoT gateway with the Power-efficient RISC-based i.MX6UL Processor – IFB122
Distributor Manhattan Skyline announces the IFB122, a compact, RISC-based DIN-rail industrial IoT gateway powered by the low-power Freescale i.MX6UL-2 processor, based on the ARM Cortex-A7. Designed by Axiomtek to meet the challenges in critical environments, it supports extended operating temperature ranging from -40 to 70 degree C, and a wide input range 9.0 to 48V DC. It is also able to withstand vibration up to 5G. One PCI Express Mini Card slot, one SIM card slot, and two internal antennae are available for WiFi and 3G/4G connections. The IP40-rated IFB122 can transmit data and manage various devices, and is described as a cost-effective solution for remote control/monitoring management applications such as unmanned control room, industrial machine, automatic parking lot and traffic cabinets.
The built-in serial port, LAN port and USB port provide fast, efficient data computation, communication and acquisition, says the company. Digital I/O interfaces include two RS-232/422/485 ports, two 10/100Mbit/s LAN ports with 1.5KV magnetic isolation protection, one USB 2.0 port, and one digital I/O (2-in/1-out) to support a variety of test and measurement applications.
Using the power-efficient ARM CortexA7 processor, the robust DIN-rail fanless gateway comes with one 256Mbyte DDR3 on board memory and one 4Gbyte eMMC flash memory for storage. The gateway measures 31 x 100 x 125mm.
LED indicators on the front panel show the status of the device. The industrial grade DIN-rail embedded platform comes with Yocto embedded Linux to provide an open standard OS for software program development.
