EMI filters range targets medical and IT equipment

Chassis mount and IEC inlet EMI filters from XP Power satisfy the requirement for equipment to conform to the latest EMC emissions and immunity standards. The filters are suitable for any electrical or electronic equipment that is powered from a single phase AC supply, confirms XP Power.

Chiefly aimed at medical and IT equipment manufacturers, types FASA/M, FCSS, FDMM, FFSA, FGSM are IEC power entry inlets with integral line filters, and types FHSA/M and FIHA/M are chassis mount filters. The FFSA and FGSM units also feature input switches. Variations within the range cater for a variety of end user needs and can save OEMs time when incorporating the units into host equipment. For example, the compact combined versions with single or dual fuse holder or fuse holder and switch reduce the amount of wiring and panel cut-outs required.  All models feature a bleed resistor and Faston terminals.

XP Power’s EMI filters feature a wide operating temperature range -40 to 110 degrees C, with full power operation to +50 degrees C. This range enables operation in warmer ambient temperatures than competing alternatives that derate from +40 degrees C, says XP Power.

The filters’ shielded metal body prevents radiated emissions within the equipment, a medical version features a low, 5microA at 250V AC earth leakage. Across the range, current ratings are from one to 20A, and dual stage, chassis mount versions are also available that provide greater attenuation levels than standard models.

The XP Power’s IEC inlet EMI filters carry a three-year warranty.

The EMI filters are available from Digi-Key, element14, Farnell, RS Components, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power.

XP Power provides AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, high voltage power supplies and RF power supplies.

It is certified to ISO9001:2008 and offers in-house design through to manufacturing facilities around the world.
