FPGA carrier accommodates largest UltraScale model

Designed for the largest of the Virtex UltraScale FPGAs, the XCVU440 FPGA, the AMC596 is an FPGA module by VadaTech.

The FPGA is supported by 8Gbyte of 64bit wide DDR4 and an on-board Power PC P2040. The additional connectivity provided by PinoutPlus, over 250Gbit/s between neighbouring modules, makes the carrier suitable for ASIC emulation and demanding sensor processing applications.

The AMC596 extends the company’s line of Virtex-7 and UltraScale products covering PCIe edge, VPX and AMC form factors. The common architecture and supporting VHDL allow users to port applications from one form factor to another to meet different environmental and market requirements, points out the company.
