Halo LED connector has a familiar ring

Connector manufacturer Lemo has added to its range of Halo connectors. The range is now available in three designs after the company added sizes and models.

Initially launched in the B series, the Halo series is now also available in the T series, a watertight IP68 connector. The new range is configurable using the embedded electronics and features a wide range of colours. There is a RGB indicator arranged in a ring around the connector.

The three designs now available are LEG, LMG (with a standby light) and LNG (with a narrow ring shape light).

Customers can decide what information can be displayed by the Halo LED before adding the connector to equipment. For example, the indicator can be configured as status (on/off or blinking), light intensity and colours. The multiplexed indicator consists of red, green and blue LEDs. To use, the pulse width modulation (PWM) of each colour is combined to generate the colour of choice from 16 million shades of colour. The indicator’s behaviour can also be modified at a later stage, via software, providing maximum flexibility.
