High-energy wet tantalum capacitors feature ultra-high capacitance range

Now in stock at TTI Europe are Vishay’s high-energy EP1 series wet tantalum capacitors. Built on Vishay’s proven SuperTan technology, the products feature an ultra high capacitance range from 2,000-microF to 30,000-microF and voltage ratings from 25VDC to 125VDC in the A case code.

The values of the EP1 series components further include a capacitance of 13,000-microF at 50V in the A case size, which is claimed by TTI to be 18 per cent greater than the closest competing device,

The capacitors feature a standard capacitance tolerance of 20 per cent, with 10 per cent tolerance also available. Optimised for pulse power and energy hold-up applications in laser guidance, radar, and avionics systems, the products are housed in an all-tantalum, hermetically sealed case for increased reliability.

The devices operate over a temperature range of -55 degrees C up to 85 degrees C, to 125 degrees C with voltage derating, and provide a maximum ESR down to 0.030-Ohm at 1kHz and 25 degrees C.

The capacitors are available with tin/lead (Sn/Pb) and RoHS-compliant 100 per cent tin terminations.
