HV aluminium capacitors smooth and filter power in EVs

Automotive-grade, surface-mount aluminium electrolytic capacitors for electric vehicles (EVs) and industrial equipment have voltages up to 450V.

The Vishay BCcomponents 152 CME and 192 CTX series capacitors operate at temperatures up to +125 degrees C and have a useful life up to 6,000 hours for automotive and industrial applications.

The polarised aluminium electrolytic capacitors have a non-solid electrolyte. The AEC-Q200 qualified devices are suited for smoothing, filtering, and buffering in power supplies and portable chargers for electric vehicles and industrial equipment.

The 152 CME and 192 CTX series offer capacitance values from 2.2 to 33 microF in seven case sizes ranging from 10 x 10 x 10mm to 18 x 18 x 21mm.

The RoHS-compliant capacitors offer charge- and discharge-proof performance with no peak current limitation. They also allow for lead (Pb)-free reflow soldering in accordance with JEDEC J-STD-020, and offer vibration-proof performance in four- and six-pin versions.

Samples and production quantities of the 152 CME and 192 CTX series are available now, with lead times of six to 10 weeks.

Vishay Intertechnology manufactures discrete semiconductors (diodes, MOSFETs, and infrared optoelectronics) and passive electronic components (resistors, inductors, and capacitors). These components are used in virtually all types of electronic devices and equipment, in the industrial, computing, automotive, consumer, telecommunications, military, aerospace, power supplies, and medical markets.
