IAR Systems supports NXP IoT module development

Tool support for the NXP Semiconductors’ LPC54018 microcontroller-based IoT module has been announced by IAR Systems.

The LPC54018 microcontroller-based IoT module with support for Amazon FreeRTOS provides a seamless Wi-Fi connection to Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabling developers to create secure, cost-effective IoT solutions.

The module, claims IAR Systems, offers unlimited memory extensibility, a root of trust built on the embedded SRAM physical unclonable functions (PUF) and on-chip cryptographic accelerators. Thanks to the easy-to-use software libraries of Amazon FreeRTOS, cloud on-boarding and over-the-air device management is made easy.

IAR Systems now offers development tools for this IoT module, which provide leading code optimisation technology and extensive debugging functionality coupled with professional technical support offered globally.

Speed optimisations enable IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm and the included IAR C/C++ Compiler to generate fast and efficient code. According to IAR Systems, th shortest possible execution times provide the ultimate choice for development of high-performance, low-power applications built on this IoT module. To enable extensive debugging and profiling, the toolchain includes features such as complex code and data breakpoints, runtime stack analysis, call stack visualisation, code coverage analysis and integrated monitoring of power consumption. Through add-on tools for static analysis and run-time analysis, developers gain complete code control, adds IAR Systems.

IAR Systems supplies future-proof software tools and services for embedded development, enabling companies around the world to create products and  the innovations of tomorrow. Since 1983, IAR Systems’ solutions have ensured quality, reliability and efficiency in the development of over one million embedded applications. The company is headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden and has sales and support offices all over the world.
