Innodisk brings NVMe to industrial storage applications

Specialist is flash memory, DRAM modules and embedded peripheral products, Innodisk, claims to be the first to bring true NVM Express performance to flash storage devices ready for industrial applications.

Although the demand for high-performance flash storage devices in industrial applications is significant, NVMe devices have not been able to achieve satisfactory performance and durability in demanding industrial applications.

Its industrial NVMe product line up now makes true NVMe performance available in products optimised for tough industrial use. Industrial applications have used NVMe flash storage devices for some time, but the fast write speeds are only possible in short spurts, making average write speeds slow, explained Innodisk.

The industrial-grade NVMe flash storage devices provide a dual performance mode, enabling high, stable performance when other devices can only deliver one or the other, said Innodisk. Its advanced firmware technology provides high and stable NVMe performance for industrial applications.

In a write speed test between Innodisk’s 3TE6 NVMe 1Tbyte M.2 SSD and a comparable industrial 1Tbyte NVMe SSD from another manufacturer, Innodisk’s 3TE6 held an average write speed of 1Gbyte per second with minimal variations in write speed, reports Innodisk. In the test, the other manufacturer’s device suffered two significant performance drops, experienced much larger changes in write speed, and only achieved an average write speed of 380Mbytes per second.

The dual performance of the NVMe flash storage devices also have wide-temperature environments for stable operation even in extreme temperatures.

Innodisk’s NVMe products are available across M.2 2242 and 2280, CFexpress, and NanoSSD form factors, with PCIe Gen 3 and Gen 4 interfaces. Combined with capacities up to 2Tbyte, security features, wide temperature-ready designs, and stable long-term supply, Innodisk’s NVMe products are suitable for industrial use and available today.

Innodisk provides of flash memory, DRAM modules, and embedded peripheral products for industrial and enterprise applications.
