Insys icom launches router plug-in cards at SPS

Router plug-in cards and data logger software will be launched at SPS Smart Production Solutions by Insys icom.

The four cards in the MRcards add fibre, wi-fi, multi-I/Os and LTE/serial connectivity to the existing MRX modular routers. The MRcards enable fast, cost-effective updates for industrial routers to meet future standards, including fibre optic connections, long-range networks (LoRa) and wi-fi, adds the company.

“The new MRcards allow us and our customers to future proof modems and IoT gateways with new functionalities,” said Sun Spornraft head of market communications at Insys icom.

“We also want to show attendees that embracing IoT is simple. For this reason, the IoT QuickStart kit, which we first launched at the Hannover Messe, will be returning,” she added.

The kit offers all the necessary components for a quick entry into the world of IoT industrial applications. Visitors will be able to experience a live demonstration of how an IoT gateway can be put into operation in just a few minutes, to make the industrial IoT a reality.

A new data logger function for the icom Data Suite software will also be introduced at the show in Nuremberg. The data logger function allows Insys icom industrial routers to record machine data, save it and export it as a CSV file. With this new capability, data logging can be bundled together with gateway functions and can help reduce costs. The feature is particularly beneficial for small scale applications that do not require a complex IoT cloud connection, Insys explains.

There will also be three partners at the company’s stand. Rhebo will be showing its industrial security and continuity range, com2m, which designs and develops IoT applications and control system specialist, CDP, will be attending as co-exhibitors.

Insys icom will be in Hall 5, 232 at SPS drives in Nuremberg, Germany, 26 to 28 November.
