Kit includes samples for EMI shielding
Products from Leader Tech’s range have been collected into the KIT02 in the company’s Ideas KIT02. The kit provides design and EMC engineers with a selection of products to quickly address a multitude of shielding and EMI concerns.
Included in the KIT02 are fingerstock EMI gaskets in various shapes, sizes, and finishes. Fingerstock gaskets are used as ESD contacts or for EMI shielding in the gaps of enclosures or chassis. They offer a smooth wiping action in a large contact area that compresses when the enclosure is shut or when modules are inserted into the chassis. They also offer better mechanical spring characteristics than other gasket types, advised Leader Tech.
The KIT02 also includes samples of Leader Tech’s fabric shielding and wire mesh gaskets, which are a more cost-effective shielding option. The company’s conductive elastomer products are intended for applications that require shielding combined with protection against dust and moisture.
There are also thermal pads that efficiently conduct heat away from a heat source to a heat sink or chassis.
For board level shielding, the company offers a variety of standard surface mount and through-hole shields, including vented configurations, two-piece designs, and multi-cavity options. It described its slot-lok shields as a cost-effective custom solution for designers and its tech clips are compatible with standard automated assembly processes and allow for post-soldering installation of the shield.
FerriShield ferrite suppressors are also included in the kit, for cable shielding, together with examples of Leader Tech’s custom stampings that allow designers to leverage the company’s design and manufacturing expertise to create a tailor-made solution for an application.
