L-code PCB/panel-mount power connectors extend M12 range
For use with compact, high power automation devices, TE Connectivity has extended its portfolio of M12 connectors to include L-code PCB/panel types.
The connectors take up 40 per cent less space than Mini 7/8 connectors traditionally used for high power connections, says TE Connectivity. The M12 L-code power connectors are an extension of the current M12 IEC standard and have been selected by the Profinet user organization, Profibus & Profinet International as the standard for 24V power supply systems in Profinet devices.
The connectors handle currents as high as 16A per pin – the highest in TE Connectivity’s M12 family. In addition to providing reliable and efficient power distribution, says the company, they are IP67-rated, which means they are protected from dust and resist water immersion at depths of up to one meter for 30 minutes.
L-code PCB/panel-mount M12 power connectors are available through TE Connectivity’s global distribution network, which provides customers with short lead-times and fast responses for technical support.
