Lab kit gives real-world expertise for power management
Addressing demand for power management experience, Texas Instruments offers the Power Management Lab Kit (TI-PMLK) which offers hands-on power management learning experience with system-level reasoning.
The versatile kit allows students to apply the practical learning achieved through the lab experience toward designing a power supply. Each lab kit includes an evaluation board and an experiment lab book covering key power converter topologies, theory, case studies and a set of experiments to jumpstart understanding of power supplies that are required for real-life applications. The series includes the most common power solutions: buck, linear regulator (LDO), boost and coming soon, buck-boost.
The series of boards and experiments can be used to reinforce foundational theories taught in electrical engineering courses, as well as to train industry professionals. Modular parts can accommodate curriculum or coursework needs, or facilitate engineering training to address particular application challenges.
