LED driver can be used for large-scale lighting systems
Adding to the offerings from Mean Well for its HLG-C family of constant-current, high voltage LED drivers, Sunpower now offers the HLG-320H-C LED drivers, designed for large-scale lighting systems requiring high voltage with high power.
They are rated at 320W, adding to the existing 70, 90, 150, 200 and 250W products already available. According to the company, they meet demand for LED lighting applications using single series-connected strings of LEDs that require high-voltage power supplies.
The drivers offer a seven year warranty. The models have a choice of outputs ranging from 700 to 3500mA. All offer IP67 or IP65 ingress protection ratings, output current adjustment with a built-in potentiometer, three-in-one dimming function (0 to 10V, 10V PWM or resistance), DALI control, and smart timer dimming function. The series also accepts high input voltages up to 305V AC or 431V DC.
The drivers minimise current load and power consumption with a built-in active PFC function and high efficiency up to 94%. In addition to IP rating, rugged environmental performance allows an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C (case temperature), with free air convection cooling. Protection from short-circuit, over-voltage and over-temperature conditions is provided.
The metal-cased units comply with EN61000-3-2 Class C (equivalent to, or more than 50% load) harmonic current limits and carry UL/CUL/ENEC/CB/CE approvals. The devices are suitable for use within Class 1, Division 2 hazardous (classified) location luminaires.
