LXI microwave multiplexers lead with repeatability characteristics
Four- and six-channel LXI 50Ω microwave multiplexers have been announced by Pickering Interfaces in compact 1U and 2U rack-mount form factors. The 60-801 and 60-802 microwave switches feature excellent RF characteristics and repeatability to within 0.01dB, adds the company.
A choice of up to 16 multiplexer banks with any combination of six, 18, 26.5 and 40GHz bandwidths can be supported. Control is via a 1000Base-T Ethernet interface which can enable remote control from a distance if desired. The LED display of energised switch paths simplifies operation, claims Pickering.
The multiplexers target test operations in hi-rel industries such as defence, aerospace, semiconductor and communications. The compact multiplexers have an extended, guaranteed life of 10M operations for most models – typically the actual life is above 25M operations, says Pickering. There is also a range of build options to match a project or customer’s requirements.
Both multiplexers are characterised by low VSWR, high isolation, low loss and high power handling, says Pickering. They are particularly suitable for switching 50 Ohm coaxial systems that require a high performance from the HF band to microwave frequencies.
Pickering Interfaces provides a standard three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support.
Pickering Interfaces designs and manufactures modular signal switching and simulation for use in electronic test and verification. It believes it offers the largest range of switching and simulation products in the industry for PXI, LXI, and PCI applications. To support these products, it also provides cables and connectors, diagnostic test tools, application software and software drivers created by an in-house software team
