Miniature GNSS receiver is sensitive for covert asset tracking

High acquisition and tracking sensitivity in the EVA-M8Q GNSS receiver make it suitable for use in applications with small antennae in covert applications such as asset tracking and stolen vehicle recovery, or in portable devices.

It is offered in a 7.0 x 7.0mm package by u-box, and is based on a TCXO. According to the company, it is optimised to provide the highest acquisition and tracking sensitivity.

The QFN package can be manufactured to medium or high volume production. The highly integrated module is also claimed to allow OEMs to achieve a faster time-to-market. The series is claimed to be the smallest GNSS modules featuring GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS reception. Three out of the four GNSS constellations can be received concurrently, which increases positioning accuracy. The series also features anti-spoofing and anti-jamming technology to provide superior security and integrity protection, says the company.

Samples are available now, with modules in full production in Q4 2016.
