Monitors with Mini-LED backlight enhance colour-contrast
Gaming monitors with Mini-LED technology expand the ViewSonic Elite series. The latest models, the XG272G-2K, XG321UG and XG341C-2K are designed to deliver advanced in-game details and clarity, says the company.
All three use the highest of 1,152 distinct Mini-LED zones with full array local dimming (FALD) technology to deliver maximum contrast between the brightest whites and deepest blacks. This, says the company, allows gamers to experience peak visual performance, even on the most graphically-demanding games.
The XG272G-2K and XG321UG support the Nvidia Reflex Analyzer which measures the delay between the click of the mouse and expected actions and ensures gamers can start a match with confidence, knowing their system is operating exactly as it should be.
The 27-inch XG272G-2K monitor enables fluid gameplay with advanced Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate capabilities and a fast refresh rate of 300Hz. The monitor utilises indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) display technology for higher pixel density, and consistent colours.
The 32-inch XG321UG has Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate technology, a three microsecond response time and a smooth refresh rate of 144Hz for lag-and-stutter-free gameplay and seamless frame transitions. It also has quantum dot technology, Vesa DisplayHDR 1400 capabilities, and 4K UHD resolution. It is also equipped with 99 per cent Adobe RGB colour gamut and true 10-bit colour depth, and for precise colour reproduction, the monitor is factory pre-calibrated to Delta E<2.
The XG341C-2K is claimed to be the world’s fastest 34-inch curved widescreen Mini-LED gaming monitor with a 200Hz (over-clocked) refresh rate. The WQHD monitor has a fast response time of one millisecond and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for low-latency playback. The 1500R curvature monitor has peak brightness of 1,400 nits with 97 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also offers both USB Type-C and HDMI 2.1 ports for multi-tasking or console gaming.
The XG272G-2K will be available from Q3 2022, and the XG321UG and the XG341C-2K will be available in Q1 2022.
