Mouser stocks Cypress 32bit MCUs for Industry 4.0 and IoT devices
MCUs from Cypress Semiconductor in the FM4 S6E2G series are designed for industrial automation and metering applications. Mouser Electronics now stocks the 32bit devices which offer integrated hardware-based features and standards-compliant firmware libraries that simplify functional safety compliance.
They are based on a 608 CoreMark, 180MHz ARM Cortex-M4 CPU core and have up to 1Mbyte of on-chip flash memory and up to 192kbytes of SRAM with a 16kbyte flash accelerator. The MCUs provide error-correcting code (ECC) support, and include a hardware watchdog timer, low-voltage detect, and clock supervisor blocks for safety-critical applications.
A digital and analogue sub-system features a variety of high-end peripherals and communication modules, including IEEE 1588 Ethernet, CAN, a hardware-based Crypto Assist Module, serial communication interfaces (USB, UART, CSIO (SPI), I²C, LIN), as well as and up to 153 GPIOs, advanced control peripherals, 12bit ADCs and a quadrature position/revolution counter.
The FM4-176L-S6E2GM Pioneer Kit enables rapid development of high-performance embedded systems using an Arduino Uno-compatible interface to connect to Arduino shields for low-cost hardware expansion. The board’s peripherals include an accelerometer and photo-transistor, a stereo codec, and multi-colour LEDs, plus a microphone jack, line-in jack, and headphone jack.
The MCUs are available in 144- and 176pin LQFP packages, and operate over a temperature range of -40 to +105 degrees C. T
