OKW enlarges its Evotec designer instrument enclosures

OKW’s Evotec plastic enclosures are now available in two sizes. The Evotec designer desktop plastic enclosures are now available in a larger 250 size.

Evotec is designed for tough working environments and can be used in applications such as measurement and control engineering, IT, medical, laboratory and environmental technology. The Evotec instrument enclosure can also be wall mounted for access control.

These robust enclosures feature ergonomic soft contours that make them comfortable to use. They are moulded from ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) for enhanced UV stability and can be specified with optional IP 65 protection.

There are three variants available from OKW. Version I has a flat top with a large operating area for switches, push buttons and touch displays. Version II features a smooth sloping top inclined at 12 degree for desktop applications. Version III also has a sloping top but is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label.

All three versions have PCB screw pillars in the top and base. Six self-adhesive rubber feet ensure stable positioning on flat surfaces. Torx assembly screws prevent tampering. This also makes them suitable for medical electronics.

Evotec is available in two plan sizes (200 x 124 mm and now 250 x 155 mm) and in one standard colour: off white (RAL 9002). Prices start at £17.

Accessories include an IP 65 seal, a wall mounting kit and self-tapping screws for installing PCBs.

OKW can supply Evotec customised upon request. OKW offers the following services: custom colours, EMC shielding, CNC machining, lacquering, water transfer, tampo or digital printing of legends and logos, installation and assembly of accessories.
