OKW now offers Style-Case in three sizes
The handheld Style-Case enclosure from OKW is now available in three sizes, following the company adding two sizes to the range.
The high-gloss enclosures are now available in the new sizes S (123 x 48 x 24mm) and M (147 x 56 x 27mm), to complement the existing size L (166 x 64 x 31mm) models.
The Style-Case enclosures are designed for remote controls, notably in medical and social care but also in many household, office and industrial electronics applications. The finish is pleasant to touch and is also easy to keep clean, says OKW.
The cases offer ingress protection up to IP65 and the cases are assembled using tamper-proof Torx screws. This, says OKW, is an important feature for medical and wellness applications.
The operating area in the top is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label. There is an integrated battery compartment for two 1.5V AAA or AA cells, depending on which model is chosen. It is accessible from the outside (via the bottom section) and features a screw-fixed lid.
The enclosures are moulded from high quality UV-stable ASA plastic in traffic white (RAL 9016), or black (RAL 9005) PMMA plastic for infra red applications. Both plastics are rated UL 94 HB for flammability.
Accessories include battery clips (nickel-plated steel), sealing kits, self-tapping PCB fixing screws and a Torx T10 screwdriver.
OKW offers customised versions of Style-Case. Options include custom colours; flame retardant (V-0) materials; EMC shielding; CNC machining; lacquering; printing of parts and labels; membrane keypads; display windows; installation and assembly.
