Open frame 100W AC/DC power supplies meet Class B emissions
Power supplies for industrial, technology and medical devices, make up the FCB100 series of AC/DC power supplies by XP Power.
The series is certified to medical (including BF or body floating), IT equipment and household standards for Class I and II (no ground connection) operation. With Class B conducted and radiated emissions in both Class I and Class II configurations, the open frame modules also support both convection and fan cooled applications.
Target applications besides medical and home healthcare, includes test and measurement, broadcast, networking, communications, and other industrial equipment.
All models in the FCB100 series accept a wide operating input voltage range of 80 to 264V AC, sufficient to support worldwide compatibility and home healthcare applications. They have a no-load power consumption of less than 0.3W. XP Power offers a choice of six standard output voltages: 12, 15, 19, 24, 36 and 48V DC.
The FCB100 series operates in ambient temperatures from -25 to +70 degrees C. With external forced air cooling, the units deliver 100W at up to +50 degrees C, derating linearly to 50W at +70 degrees C. The units can be convection-cooled for low audible noise, delivering 80 / 85W at up to +50 degrees C, derating linearly to 40 / 45W at +70 degrees C, depending on the model.
The open frame models measure 101.6 x 50.8 x 31.8mm (or 4.0 x 2.0 x 1.25-inches) and weigh 160g (0.35lbs).
Over-voltage, over-load, short circuit, and over-temperature protection is standard.
The input to output isolation is 4,000V AC (2 x MOPP), input to ground 1,500V AC (1 x MOPP), and output to ground 1,500V AC (1 x MOPP) combined with low leakage current for suitability in BF-rated medical devices.
Safety certifications include IEC / ES/EN 60601-1, IEC / UL / EN 62368-1, IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60335. The products also comply with EN55035 and IEC 60601-1-2 ed.4 EMC standards.
The FCB100 series is available from Digi-Key, Distrelec, Farnell, Mouser, RS Components, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power. They are offered with a three-year warranty.
