PCB software focuses on routing design
Designers can focus on design tasks, says Altium, as it releases Altium Designer 17, which it says furthers the company’s commitment to passionate design.
By reducing the time spent on non-design related tasks, the company argues that designers can leverage several advanced new technologies and focus on design rather than the mundane tasks of the design process.
An example is ActiveRoute routing technology. It enables designers to interactively guide their routes across the entire board in minutes, allowing them more time to perfect their designs and introduce creative solutions to issues that arise during development.
According to the company, another technology, Draftsman, automates by accurately communicating design intent the first time.
