PH-A280 DC/DC converters operate from 200 to 425V DC

Four, higher power models, have been added to the PH-A280 series of high voltage input DC/DC converters by TDK-Lambda.

The PH-A280 high voltage input DC/DC converters are capable of operating from 200 to 425V DC. The 300W output power modules are suitable for use in data centres, telecommunications and renewable energy applications using a 380V nominal high voltage DC bus.

 The four new models are rated at 12V 25A, 24V 12.5A, 28V 10.8A and 48V 6.3A.  This extends the existing 50 to 150W PH-A280 range of 3.3, 5.0, 12, 24, 28 and 48V outputs. The 300W models have a greater adjustment range of -60 per cent to +20 per cent to accommodate non-standard voltages.

The 300W units are in the industry standard half-brick package, measuring 61.0 x 12.7 x 57.9mm. Efficiencies are up to 92 per cent. The converters can provide full load with -40 to +100 degree C baseplate temperatures. They can also be conduction-cooled, making them suitable for use in sealed outdoor enclosures or liquid cooled applications.

All PH-A280 modules include a five-year warranty, remote on-off, and over-current and over-voltage protection. The series is fully isolated with an input to output isolation of 3,000V AC and are safety certified to IEC/EN 60950-1, UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.

TDK-Lambda provides power supplies for industrial equipment worldwide. Activities include research and development through to manufacturing, sales, and service with bases in five key areas, covering Japan, Europe, America, China, and Asia.
