Phihong adds USB feature to interchangeable plug adapter
Phihong has integrated a USB receptacle and field-changeable AC plugs to create the PSAF10R-050QA-R plug adapter.
The 10W USB interchangeable plug adapter series is compliant with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE VI) efficiency regulations for external power supplies, as well as the European Union’s voluntary Code of Conduct Version 5 Tier 2 requirements.
The PSAF10R-050QA-R adapter has a USB receptacle, field-changeable AC plugs, low leakage current, and voltage drop compensation. They can be used in consumer electronics, peripherals, portable equipment, and networking applications.
With an AC input voltage range of 100 to 240V, the compact PSAF10R-050QA-R adapters help offset voltage drop that may be encountered with longer USB cables or USB cables with thin wires. They are convenient for users travelling and reduce the inventory requirements of OEMs as they need only stock a single power adapter to cover all global electric systems, rather than carry separate power adapters with fixed plugs for specific regions.
The PSAF10R-050QA-R Series adapters carry cULus, CE, RCM, PSE, KCC/KC and EAC safety certifications for the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea, and the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan).
Phihong supplies adapters, power supplies and Power over Ethernet (PoE) products to OEMs in the medical, datacomms, telecomms, personal electronics, industrial, and networking markets. It has design labs, manufacturing facilities, and sales support centres in California, New York, The Netherlands, China, Japan, and Taiwan.
