Piano series hits the right note for DIN-Rail power supplies, says PULS

Specialist DIN-Rail manufacturer, PULS, has extended the Piano series of power supplies, which now includes 17 DIN-Rail power supplies designed to offer cost effective basic functionality, high reliability with output power ratings from 36 to 480W.

The company offers the Piano PIC and the PIM ranges. The PIC can be specified with either a 100 to 240V or 200 to 240V input and has a single 24 or 48V DC output. It has a DC-OK relay (excluding PIC120-242C) and output power from 120 to 480W.

The PIM is a mini-series, housed in a compact enclosure and offers a single 12 or 24V DC output, input voltage of 100 to 240V and a choice of screw terminals, large screw terminals, push-in terminal or NEC Class 2 connectivity. Output power is over the range 36 to 90W.

The Piano product family is small and DC input voltage and power reserves have been omitted, said PULS, for a cost-oriented design to meet the exact requirements of the application. More demanding applications can be fulfilled with PULS’ Dimension series.

The Piano series of power supplies can reduce operating costs through high efficiency, said PULS which can reduce energy waste, cooling, packaging costs and lower CO2 emissions for lower losses, added the company.

The smaller, compact control cabinets reduce system cost and frees up space in the application. The use of push-in terminals on some PIM units enable toolless installation for easy DIN-rail mounting.

The power supplies’ high mean time between failure (MTBF) offers a long lifetime, minimising downtime and lowering maintenance requirements, added PULS.

The Piano DIN-rail power supply range is suitable for a range of cost sensitive industrial and automation applications.

PULS focuses on the development and production of DIN-rail power supplies. Operating for over 42 years, PULS concentrates on engineering knowledge, resources and energy to set standards in terms of efficiency and quality.
