PMIC is based on Apollo Lake processor for portable devices
Developed for the latest Intel processor (code-named Apollo Lake), the BD2670MWV PMIC is offered in a compact UQFN68AV8080 package, measuring 8.0 x 8.0mm.
According to Rohm Semiconductor, it reduces the number of components by 38 per cent and mounting area by 33 per cent over conventional discrete configurations. A power control logic function makes it possible to control and analyse the internal PMIC conditions and access the register through an I²C interface, contributing to safer designs, it maintains.
