Powder iron inductors meet automotive applications

Electronic component distributor, TTI, now offers rugged, high current, powder iron inductors from Eaton for automotive applications.

The HCMA series of high current power inductors are designed to withstand temperature and shock stresses found in automotive applications to support greater reliability in electronics for ADAS (advanced drive assistance systems), vehicle control, body control, lighting, infotainment, cluster controls, heating and air conditioning, chassis and safety systems.

The inductors have iron powder core material and are AEC-Q200 grade 3 qualified. They are available in various sizes from 5.0 x 5.0 to 17 x 17mm footprints. They feature high current carrying capacity, low core losses, and low EMI. Magnetically shielded, halogen- and lead-free, as well as RoHS-compliant, the components have an operating temperature range of -55 to +125 degree C (ambient + self-temperature rise).
