Recom adds to Economy series with board-mount AC/DC modules
Compact 10W AC/DC modules make up the RAC10E-k/277 series of board-mount AC/DC encapsulated modules. The modules by Recom measure 1.8 x 1.0 inch (45 x 25mm) and carry an OVC (over voltage category) III rating.
The RAC10E-K/277 encapsulated modules are part of the Recom Economy series and are available with single 3.3, 5.0, 12, 15 and 24V fully regulated outputs. They have a wide input range that includes nominal 100, 115, 240 and 277V AC (120 to 430V DC). The modules are suitable for harsh electrical environments such as in electric vehicle (EV) chargers with an OVC III rating up to 2000m. They operate across a wide temperature range of -40 to +90 degrees C.
The modules will also find applications in industrial, AV (audio visual) and ITE (information technology equipment) environments, optimising their safety certifications to IEC / EN / UL / CSA 62368-1 and compliance with OVC II up to 5000m. Class B EMC limits are also met without external components and the parts are ErP-compliant with no-load losses of less than 100mW, added Recom.
Efficiency of the RAC10E-K/277 is up to 84 per cent, depending on the model. This results in a power-dense product allowing full load operation to 65 degrees C ambient from 115 to 277V AC.
The modules are protected against output short circuits, over-voltage and over-current and have a reinforced isolation rating of 4kV AC/one minute. Isolation capacitance and leakage current are low at 100pF and 50 microA maximum respectively.
The RAC10E-K/277 parts are highly reliable achieving over 1.7M hours mean time between failure (MTBF) at 25 degrees C according to MIL-HDBK-217F. The modules are supported by the standard Recom three-year warranty.
Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorised distributors or directly from Recom.
