Richardson RFPD adds Analog Devices’ broadband silicon digital attenuator
The HMC1119 is a broadband, 7bit digital attenuator, operating from 0.1 to 6.0GHz, with 31.75dB attenuation control range in 0.25dB steps. The device, from Analog Devices, is now available from Richardson RFPD.
The attenuator offers fast setting time, low power consumption and high ESD robustness, says the company. It has safe-state transitions and is optimised for step accuracy and high linearity over frequency and temperature range. The RF input and output are internally matched to 50Ohm and do not require external matching components. The design is bi-directional, so the RF input and output are interchangeable.
The attenuator also offers an on-chip regulator that can support a wide voltage supply range (3.3 to 5.0V) without compromising performance, says the company, as well as a driver that supports serial (three-wire) and parallel controls.
Suitable applications include cellular infrastructure, microwave radios and VSATs, test equipment and sensors, and other IF and RF designs.
It is offered in a 24-lead, 4.0 x 4.0mm LFCSP.
