Richardson RFPD adds two GaAs MMIC mixers from ADI

Two GaAs MMIC fundamental mixers from Analog Devices, are available from distributor Richardson RFPD, with full design support.

The HMC557A is a general-purpose, double balanced mixer in a 24-lead, ceramic 4.0 x 4.0mm LCC package that can be used as an up-converter or down-converter from 2.5 to 7.0GHz. It requires no external components or matching circuitry. The HMC557A provides local oscillator (LO) to radio frequency (RF) and LO to intermediate frequency (IF) isolation due to optimised balun structures, says the company. It is suitable for fixed wireless, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, test equipment and sensors, and military end use applications.

The HMC773A general-purpose, double balanced mixer, is available in a 24-lead, ceramic 3.0 x 3.0mm LCC package. It can be used as an up-converter or down-converter from 6.0 to 26GHz and also requires no external components or matching circuitry. Optimised balun structures deliver LO-to-RF and LO-to-IF suppression, and the mixer operates with LO drive levels above +13dBm. The HMC773A is suitable for point-to-point and point-to multipoint radios and VSAT, test equipment and sensors, and military end use applications.
