Rohm adds to Super Junction MOSFET line-up with low on resistance models
Seven devices have been added to Rohm’s PrestoMOS 600V Super Junction MOSFETs. The R60xxVNx series is optimised for power circuits in industrial equipment requiring high power, such as servers, EV charging and basestations, as well as motor drives in white goods that use inverters for energy savings.
The R60xxVNx series adopts the latest proprietary processes to achieve the industry’s fastest reverse recovery time while reducing on resistance by up to 20 per cent compared to equivalent products, said Rohm.
A reverse recovery time of 105 nanoseconds reduces switching loss by approximately 17 per cent, compared to competing devices, said Rohm.
Rohm has also introduced two models to the R60xxYNx series of standard low on resistance 600V Super Junction MOSFETs.
The company said it will continue to expand its lineup to include new Super Junction MOSFETs featuring even lower noise performance to reduce power consumption in a wide range of applications.
The R60xxVNx and additional R60xxYNx MOSFETs are in mass production and available through online distributors Digi-Key, Mouser and Farnell.
Rohm Semiconductor develops and manufactures a large product range including SiC diodes and MOSFETs, analogue ICs such as gate drivers and power management ICs to power transistors and diodes to passive components.
Production is in manufacturing plants located in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and China.
Lapis Technology (former OKI Semiconductor), SiCrystal and Kionix are companies of the Rohm Semiconductor Group. Rohm Semiconductor Europe has its head office near Dusseldorf serving the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
