Rutronik adds two-port EtherCAT universal PCI master card from Advantech
Ready-to-use, Advantech’s two-port EtherCAT PCI universal card, the PCI-1203, is available from distributor, Rutronik. It is an EtherCAT development platform for all PC-based industrial automation, with the EtherCAT protocol stack executed autonomously on the PCI card.
It is supplied with a 650MHz dual-core ARM processor. It allows the host to handle up to two EtherCAT networks with extremely short cycle time for motion and pure I/O applications. For EtherCAT motion port, communication cycle time is no more than 500micro sec for connecting 32 axes of servo motors. For fast I/O ports, the cycle time is no more than 200 micro sec in a high speed I/O system. To meet the extra high speed I/O requirements, the card provides four-channel isolated digital outputs with an isolated protection of 1,000V DC, an output voltage of 12 up to 24V DC and a sink current of max. 300mA CH. It also offers eight-channel isolated inputs with an isolated protection of 1,000V DC and an input resistance of 8.4kOhm. Operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degree C and storage temperature range is -20 up to +85 degree C. It supports common motion software development kit for rapid application development and features real-time and high-precision capability. All of the company’s motion controllers use the Common Motion API architecture, a unified user programming interface and graphical utility. The architecture saves application maintenance and upgrades. Programmers can use any of the company’s SoftMotion controller without charging large amounts of the application code. Examples decrease programming load, to complete configuration and diagnoses fast and easily.
