Rutronik offers ARM-based starter kits from Advantech
ARM-based starter kits powered by NXP and TI processors from Advantech provide a shortcut for ARM platform evaluation and development. The kits are available at distributor Rutronik.
The ARM-based starter kit includes key elements of a development environment including main boards with CPU cables, adapter cards, LCD panel and power adapter.
There is also a built-in OS image in Linux that allows users to start evaluation immediately. Other OS such as Android, Yocto Linux and Ubuntu are available, each verified for online download. The source codes of the supported OS are open and available for users to help develop application code easier. Advantech also offers tools for application development including Qt, a cross-platform tool for device creation, user interface and application development, and Advantech WISE-PaSS/RMM APIs for device access, control and monitoring. All add-on software offerings are verified and free of charge.
The service support allows users to get familiar with Advantech ARM platforms and learn to operate and design applications. The design-in-service contains referenced carrier board design, layout and schematics review, various manuals, driver porting guide, trouble shooting, customisation and production.
The starter kits take only 10 minutes to set up and are designed for performance evaluation and validation, fast hardware design and application development. The ARM-based modules/boards have a seven year longevity support.
