Signal and spectrum analyser enhances RF performance
Featuring 160MHz analysis bandwidth over the frequency range, the FSVA is claimed to the only analyser in its class to do so between 26.5 and 40GHz. The Rohde & Schwarz mid-range signal and spectrum analyser is designed for signal analysis and demodulation up to millimeterwave frequencies and measurements up to 40GHz where low phase noise, high sensitivity and wide analysis bandwidth are required.
Enhanced phase noise performance offers high accuracy in spectral measurements on narrowband modulated signals and in phase noise measurements, claims the company.
It includes phase noise of typically -117dBc at 1GHz with 10kHz offset. The company has improved the third order intercept (TOI) for frequencies lower than 7GHz, for a higher dynamic range. As a result, the analyser offers enhanced spectrum measurements compared with the company’s FSV family. The sensitivity of the preamplifier of typically -166dBm for frequencies lower than 7GHz has also been improved.
Five models cover frequency ranges from 10Hz to 4.0, 7.0, 13.6, 30 and 40GHz. The analyser supports the company’s earlier model FSV hardware functions and firmware options. The two analysers are remote control compatible for use in complex test setups.
