Surface-mount header upgrades industrial mini I/O connector range
Industrial mini I/O connectors from TE Connectivity now include a surface-mount PCB header with co-planarity of just 0.08mm, which enables the amount of paste to be minimised during assembly. According to the company, this enables it to deliver best-in-class solderability.
The use of high temperature resistant, liquid crystal plastic (LCP) for the housing provides resistance to higher reflow soldering temperatures. This increases processing efficiency and extends the durability of the header. Improving the electrical performance in terms of EMI shielding and signal integrity, the industrial mini I/O PCB header is ready for future system upgrades up to CAT6A performance classes.
Like the existing industrial mini I/O connectors, it is compact, vibration-resistant for industrial environments, easy to use, and durable. It also conforms to the latest requirements of industrial assembly processes.
Cable assemblies for the mini I/O connectors include an industrial RJ45-to-mini I/O assembly. They can provide protection in harsh environments to allow for the use of flexible cables inside a cabinet.
