Telematics antenna supports multiple constellations

For location tracking and positioning applications, the SuperShaped AC30011 antenna supports GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou satellites.

The AC30011 is claimed to provide greater coverage and accuracy in challenging RF conditions compared to ceramic GPS patch antennae. It provides omni-directional coverage pattern and does not require any external LNA or filter components. Efficiencies of 65 to 70 per cent are typical and the antenna is claimed to exhibit ‘excellent’ impedance matching over the frequency bands.

Designed for close integration with 4G cellular antennas in telematics units to avoid coupling between antennae, the antenna has been pre-tested and optimised for integration into an OBD-II form factor, which allows fast time-to-market for new designs without an extensive tuning process for the antenna.
