Temperature logger lasts longer
Claimed to monitor longer sessions, without compromising data sample rate, the DS1925 iButton temperature logger has been announced by Maxim Integrated.
Products and processes could be damaged if exposed to too-high, or too-low temperatures, meaning only 16kbyte of data could be retrieved for each critical temperature monitoring. The DS1925 has 122kbyte of data-log memory, to provide longer monitoring sessions compared to other data log products, while maintaining the desired sample rate, says the company.
It can measure over a wide temperature range of ±0.5 -40 to +85 degrees C, and can measure battery life. It also retains measurements even if the battery life ends before the logger is replaced. Instead of plastic covers, it has a durable stainless steel enclosure to withstand harsh environments and conditions. It can be used for temperature logging in cold chain, pharmaceutical, medical, bio science, and food safety applications. It is compact, measuring 17.35 x 5.89mm.
