Three in one locking options add security for AMC Series T connectors
Introducing a triple lock option to increase security, AMC Series T has been announced by ODU. It has three locking options, push-pull, break-away or screw-lock options in a single connector or receptacle part. Additional security is provided by the built-in trapezoidal threaded locking.
The ODU AMC Series T connector is rugged, sealed and reliable, says ODU. Customers can choose locking type, cable connection, size, insert and number of contacts. The design provides high vibration resistance and the connector is waterproof according to MIL standard 810. The sealed mechanical area is protected against water, dirt and dust. It is suitable for MIL backshell and MIL crimp contacts.
The ODU AMC Series T connectors are available in two sizes and are compatible with standard backshells. They are suitable for use in military, security and communications applications.
The connectors are field terminable to save time and individual contacts can be replaced or repaired in the field.
The connector system is also suitable for heavy construction machinery and agricultural vehicles which are also exposed to high impacts. They are also suitable for vehicle and machine operators and any applications which are required to reconnect, repair or adjust the connector.
The vibration resistant, waterproof connectors are based on the MIL 38999 standard, have crimp contacts according to MIL standard and operate at a temperature range of -65 to +175 degrees C.
