Three locking options secure AMC series T for military and security use
Designed for military and security applications, the ODU AMC series T connector offers three compatible locking options of push-pull, break-away and thread-lock on one device part, said ODU.
The locking mechanisms can be adopted, according to the design. Thread-lock screw locking is particularly suitable for applications that have to deal with extremely strong vibrations, for example. The Break-Away mechanism plug-in connection is designed to release the connection with manual force, allowing quick and easy disconnection in critical situations while the push-pull mechanism reliably locks into the device part and the ball-lock system to provide additional support, ensuring interference-free data transmission, said ODU.
The ODU AMC Series T is designed to allow emergency personnel to quickly and easily clean the connectors and replace interfaces, even in the field and under extreme conditions and stress. Colour coding prevents mismating and different transmission variants can be individually configured even in the smallest installation space, ODU said. The robust housings of the AMC series T connectors are waterproof up to IP6K9K with submersibility up to 20 meter for a duration of two hours.
The connectors meet the requirements of Mil-Std 38999 and are certified to Mil-Std-1472 and Mil-Std-810 and can meet requirements for temperature extremes from -65 to +175 degrees C or severe vibration.
Robust under high loads and extreme temperatures, resistant to dust, water and vibration, the connectors are optimised for demanding applications and transmission reliability even in the most technically challenging environments, claimed ODU.
