TME extends its Everlight optoelectronics portfolio

IR LEDs, photodiodes and phototransistors have been added to the Everlight portfolio of optoelectronic devices available from distributor, Transfer Multisort Elektronik (TME).

Additions to the portfolio include new IR LEDs. They have output power figures reaching up to 150mW. Emission angle options are from 20 to 160 degrees and the LEDs support a wide range of different input voltages up to 4.0V. These emitters are housed in surface mount packages (1206 or 3216 format), as well as through-hole versions with can diameters of 1.5mm to 5.0mm. Clear, transparent and blue lenses are available. Another addition are Everlight’s PIN photodiodes which exhibit high photo-sensitivity values, with dark current noise of just 5nA or 10nA. They also have 32V maximum reverse voltage levels. They deliver rapid responsiveness down to six nanoseconds, and can be combined with the IR LEDs (they are spectrally matched) to create photo detection systems for applications where high frequency operation is needed. They are available as surface mount and through-hole devices and with flat and convex lens options as well as optical filtering.

Everlight photo transistors have a 940nm peak wavelength. Also available from TME, these phototransistors are designed for a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 30V. Packaging options are both through-hole and surface mount.

Commenting on the new product additions, TME co-founder and business development director, Adam Kuczyński, said; “The technical and financial pressures that engineers are now under mean that they need to source optoelectronics devices that attain high performance benchmarks and offer cost effectiveness plus long-term reliability too. The Everlight IR LEDs, PIN photodiodes and phototransistors that we now stock successfully tick all of these boxes.”

Parts are available to order from the TME website for delivery immediately worldwide.
