Tools help on path from maker to production
Tools that can help members of the maker community transform innovative ideas into production, are available from Arrow Electronics.
The online tools can be used by start-ups and established companies, says the distributor, adding that its breadth of suppliers and logistical capabilities can shorten time-to-market. Of particular interest are three additions to the 96Boards specification, which will be launched at Embedded World (14 to 17 March). The Meerkat, Chameleon96 and SysNet1012 define a series of standardised form factors and a choice of processors to meet different price points.
Components, modules and system-on-modules (SoMs), as well as the company’s own development modules target IoT applications. For example, the SmartEverything IoT board is a prototyping platform for M2M applications. There is also a new entry-level variant of the ARIS IoT hardware and software platform.
To go beyond the IoT edge, the company offers higher level development, integration and management services. These include the eVolve IoT tools and software suites, covering hardware specification and system integration for IoT, implementation of Cloud data platforms and network maintenance.
The company will also demonstrate a free, integrated, cloud-based version of the Cadence OrCAD Capture design tool that helps design engineers and makers integrate component research and selection within their design environment.
Arrow Electronics will be at stand 4A-340, Embedded World, Nuremberg.
