TTI adds Vishay’s automotive-grade dual inductors
Offering high temperature operation, while saving board space, Vishay’s automotive-grade IHLD dual inductors operate up to +155 degree C. They are now available in Europe through TTI.
The low-profile and high-current devices save board space by combining two inductors in one 9.75 x 9.14mm package. They provide a good performance in Class D amplifiers, says the company.
There is the AEC-Q200-qualified IHLD-3232HB-5A inductor pair, built on Vishay’s IHLP technology and offer maximum DCR from 29.2 to 159.43mOhm, inductance from 5.0 to 33micro H, and rated current up to 6.0A. Other values are available upon request.
Manufactured using a 100% lead (Pb)-free shielded, composite construction package, the inductor has high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration, says the company.
The automotive-grade IHLD-4032KB-5A offers maximum DCR from 32.6 to 107mOhm, inductance from 10 to 33micro H, rated current up to 5.6A, and a frequency range up to 1MHz. The device handles high transient current spikes without saturation and has temperature stability for inductance and saturation over its operating range. According to the company, its design produces high-quality sound, low distortion, and low coupling for minimal cross-talk between inductors.
Both components have been optimised for automotive and commercial class D amplifier circuits, where they offer improved performance over multiple, individual inductors, claims the company. Both operate over -55 to +155 degree C.
